The Shishi Restoration Project - Part 2!!

After Bryan made the Shishi head shiny and new looking (read about it HERE), I took it home and made a cape for it.

I decided to make the new Shishi cape a little bit different from the first one I made. This one will have a green body with dark red and white stripes down the middle of the back.

After the green fabric was cut to size, I sewed it all together. As I was doing that, Hiro cut out all the red and white panels. We started sewing the red and white panels together, but it was way too thick... so Hiro made them thinner. They looked much better!!

Then, I put the green part together with the red and white part. Easy peasy.

Of course, no Shishi cape is complete without a tail! I made it red and then added red and white fabric pieces at the ends.

You would think I'd be finished with everything... but I had to add the hair!

This was a mess! The wig was tangled. I even tried to brush it out, but it looked worse, so I decided to just leave it as it was.

I used red felt to put everything together.

Finally, I sewed the cape onto the head.

Tadaa~!
